The National Urban League invites the public to its Community and Family Day Expo on July 29th at the George R. Brown Convention Center. The event will include free backpacks and school supplies, health screenings, a legal clinic, entertainment, games, prizes and more. Visitors will also enjoy seminars and panel discussions on a variety of topics including social media, health and wellness, technology and other topics.

The Afterschool Alliance 2023-2024 Youth Ambassador program is now accepting applications! Encourage a young person to submit their afterschool story for the chance to advocate for change and share their perspectives with a national audience.
The 2023 Lights On Afterschool Poster Contest is here! Vote for your favorite youth-created art to be featured on posters sent to 8,000+ #LightsOnAfterschool events nationwide. The winning artist and afterschool program will be credited on the poster and will receive $500.

Five finalists made it to the voting round, one of them is from an OST organization in Houston, TX:
